Sidenote: tres sorry for being ewil and not blogging for so long D: Friday; reporting day. My father and I had to awake at a semi-ungodly time, i.e. six in the morning. I haven't woken at six since school ended, seriously :O So yes, I awoke at six and found both bathrooms in my house occupied; the one in the master bedroom by my father and the one outside by my domestic helper. Needless to say, I slumped onto the tres comfy sofa to rest. Ahem, yes, to rest. I ignored my primary school uniform next to me on the sofa, which was conveniently laid out by my domestic helper (it is at times like this I feel thankful for a domestic helper, woot :D) Anyways. Blah trudging drowsily to bathroom, washing up, etc. etc. After above blahness, my father and I set off, alongside my mother who was also setting off for work. Unfortunately the time was 7.20. This was Not Good. See here for planned schedule 7.20: set-off! 10 min: walk to bus stop + wait for bus + bus to bus interchange 7.30: wait for bus no. 961 10 min: aforementioned waiting 7.40: journey to NYGH (my school, woo-hoo! :D) 1h: aforementioned journey 8.40: reach hall for briefing etc. * Therefore we would be TEN MINUTES LATE, AT THE VERY LEAST! This fact caused me to hyperventilate briefly. To make things worse, after stepping onto the surface of the void deck, my father decided to EAT BREAKFAST. Wtfh? We're gonna be 10 minutes late (at the very least, I mention again) and you want to eat breakfast (no doubt wasting at least 5 minutes of my life to buy said breakfast)? The good news: my father thankfully decided to buy rice-kueh (thereby wasting only 5 minutes, and not more). The bad news: we were still going to be late! -hyperventilate!- The good-er news: my father decided to cab to NYGH! Thank goodness lor omygawdness. This is exactly why my life is so disorganized, with random cancellation of original plans in pursuit of other plans. Thus we reached school at 8.10 (wao! :O). The taxi-driver was highly efficient. Anyway, after stopping off and us hopping out, my father strode to the bulletin boards situated conveniently in view :D We spent two minutes looking over names, even though we found my name around ten seconds after we reached the boards. I was in group nine, and so was Zhi Xin :O After that we sort of stumbled around, clueless about directions (we're both hopeless, it's hereditary I suppose D:). Ahem. For some reason or other, we managed to reach the Canteen. Blah the buying of uniforms and books, ladeeda. Oh yeah, my father for the Parent Support Group thingy lor! Anyways, at 8.30 we both ran up to the hall (we followed the unnatural mass suddenly pouring upward). I got delayed at the Third Language boards. After rapid scanning I FOUND MY NAME! :O :D -squeaks like Viver just now when ewil Travis stepped on her D:- I first scanned the Malay board and was sadded when I didn't see my name, before realizing shortly after that my applied-for Third Language was French. So I scanned the next board and SAW MY NAME! I said that already, haven't I? :O Oh well. Afterward, by the way, we rushed into the hall, with my father somehow trailing me as I tried to find my group. I pointed out that parents were sitting on the chairs, at the back and he trailed off again to find a seat ._. Heh. I found my group and sat down. Blah the talks in general. My aunt (the one who owns the dogs Wei Wei and Lucky :D), who is also a secondary school teacher, suggested I take down notes. I had a piece of paper ready, as well as a pen, but frankly the content of the speeches weren't that all interesting. It went somewhat like: principal's speech (bilingual, therefore making everything doubly long -_-) - introduction of electives (?) by respective in-charges (not bilingual, thank goodness. The speaker for one of the electives was called David Gan (seriously), but he don't look nothing like the make-up guy :O) - end. So it was quite boring, really, seeing as I've neither the qualifications (music elective: no instrument. art elective: inability to draw 3D figure) nor the inclination (malay elective). Of course I still listened. I have to say the powerpoint slides were much more artistic than the ones at NYPS :D Ahem, not putting anyone or anything down, hor. Oh and even though the talks in total were supposed to last half an hour, they lasted an hour :O OMYGAWD I USED VERY LITTLE SINGLISH IN THIS POST LEH! O.O IN FACT I USED LESS THAN TEN SINGLISH WORDS LEH! EVEN THOUGH IN THIS UNDERLINED NOTE I USED LIKE, THREE ALREADY LOR! (including 'lor') Ah. But I digress. Sidenote: Viver is sleeping! Aww my sweetie-pumpkinpie :D Ah shoot ten minutes left! After the talks was the registration -yawn-. Took super long lor, was like, thirty minutes before my turn -_- I saw my father with one of my paternal aunts, 'cos my paternal cousin was gonna be a NYGH student too :O :D! And also said-cousin's sister, an existing student :D After registration? Looked briefly over files and went down with aunt and cousins to buy cousin's uniforms (they bought the books already, though). After waiting around (saw Etsy :D, saw art pieces by art elective students (pretty! I liked the fashion pieces, totally cool! :D), read book ._.), my aunt offered to send us (me and father) to the Bukit Gombak MRT station. My father said OK so yeah, blah blah blah. Caught a glimpse of the campus; was super big :O Anyway, got to go (sadded), two minutes left lor! Sorry this post is largely overdue ._. I want lemon tea! -rushes out-
